German National Tourist Board Teams with Amadeus

Amadeus Germany GmbH, Germany’s leading provider of IT solutions for the travel industry, recently became a member of the German National Tourist Board (GNTB). At its 93rd meeting on November 28, 2018, in Frankfurt am Main, the board of the GNTB unanimously approved the application for membership of the company.

Petra Hedorfer, chair of the GNTB’s board of directors, explains: “Digital transformation is currently the main driving force behind the future development of the tourism industry. With technology expert Amadeus and its strong international network, this development is reflected in our membership portfolio.”

The GNTB is an excellent platform to shape the future of Germany tourism with all those involved. Amadeus provides a comprehensive package for the distribution of tourism services through various sales channels. The portfolio of providers that can be booked through Amadeus in Germany includes around 470 airlines, more than 145,000 hotels plus content from several major hotel aggregators, 44 car rental companies, over 240 travel and bus operators, 77 transport associations, 40 European railways, 22 ferry operators, six insurance companies, and 15 cruise operators.
