I’m pleased to say that this year is the twentieth anniversary of my “At Home” column in German Life. Many of you have been loyal readers all that time. Others are more recent subscribers to the magazine. Whether you’re longtime readers or new to German Life, I value the nice letters that several of you have sent about the “At Home” column and the hundreds of personal recipes that have been published in it.
In celebration of my two decades at German Life, I looked back through my files for the Christmas recipes that have been favorites of mine—and of readers—during all these years, recipes for cookies, confections and drinks that have stood the test of time. I hope you’ll like this selection and will continue to enjoy these holiday treats as much as I do. Now head for the kitchen, put on that apron and start cooking!
