“When we recall Christmas past, we usually find that the simplest things— not the great occasions—give off the greatest glow of happiness.” Bob Hope
The days leading up to Christmas are days spent in preparation for a special gathering whether it be an intimate occasion with just a few loved ones or a larger party of extended family and friends. They are days when memories flood our minds as we open that special box of ornaments, carefully unwrap the delicate wooden pieces of our Weihnachtspyramide, create a special Nativity Putz, and make all our favorite Christmas treats.
It’s a time of anticipation and wonder as well as a time to reflect on events that touched our hearts. To follow are a few holiday excerpts from This Is My Story, our 2008 publication which featured stories from our readers. May these fond memories bring joy to your holiday. Fröhe Weihnachten!
